CLEVELAND, Ohio — Trustees of the Cleveland Museum of Art want another three years of the stable, productive leadership that began in 2014 when they hired William Griswold as the ninth director in the museum’s history.

On Friday, the museum announced that Griswold’s contract, which was scheduled to sunset in 2024, has been extended through January 31, 2027. The new extension is the second following a 2017 vote to keep Griswold on board until next year.
