1. W South Beach
Starwood Hotels' premiere location sits in the heart of South Beach and boasts an incredible configuration of swimming pools. In addition to oceanfront rooms and a rooftop basketball court, the hotel offers a "Whatever/Whenever" service in the form of a 24-hour concierge. (However, Shakira is not included.)
2. The Ritz-Carlton
Designed by Neo-baroque architect Morris Lapidus, the Ritz-Carlton in South Beach, which retains much of its original structural integrity, offers up an experience that "embraces its glamorous past with a transformed contemporary spirit."
3. Mandarin Oriental
The upscale Mandarin Hotel, which sits on the banks of the Miami South Channel, has put together a fashion-inspired exhibition for its guests to complement Art Basel this year. The show, titled "Diamonds Unleashed," features wearable art works that re-interpret designer Norma Kamali's iconic all-in-one dress. Beyond the show, the hotel boasts a private beach and an in-house spa, among other five-star amenities.
4. Four Seasons
The Four Seasons Hotel Miami sits just a block away from the Biscayne Bay. Notably, the towering 64-story hotel recently transformed a section of their 7th floor into a pop-up gallery.
5. JW Marriott
The downtown Miami hotel features austere designs and decadent design details, such as marble bathtubs. The grounds include several meeting spaces, outdoor pools, and a full service spa.
6. Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Those looking to stay in the center of Art Basel's storm may want to consider Fontainbleau Miami Beach. In addition to its five-star glamour, the hotel is home to LIV, an 18,000 square-foot venue that hosts concerts, parties, and events, including one for the 12th Art Basel Miami Beach back in 2014. Last year, the hotel hosted NADA.
7. The Confidante Miami Beach
With views that overlook the Atlantic Ocean, the Confidante Miami Beach describes the experience it offers as "revel[ing] in Miami's golden era glamour." The hotel opened in the 1940s, which speaks on the hotel's signature Art Deco architecture and charm.
8. Sagamore Hotel
This centrally located Art-Deco, luxury hotel in South Beach that consists entirely of suites has a heavy focus on art and design. An added plus, it is also the site of the annual Art Basel in Miami Beach brunch, one of the most sought-after events on the jam-packed calendar during the art fair run. The hotel, which has art placed throughout the common areas, will be exhibiting TKTK during Art Basel in Miami Beach
9. Miami Beach EDITION
Billed as a “new generation urban resort,” the EDITION is strategically located in “Mid-Beach” between South and North Beaches on a 3.5-acre expanse that stretches from Collins Avenue to the oceanfront.  It offers beachfront suites and individual bungalows as well as a private “members only” beach club for locals.
10. 1 Hotel South Beach
An upscale, beachfront hotel that boast “sophisticated” and “airy” rooms” with reclaimed driftwood lining the walls and ocean views. In addition to a rooftop bar and four outdoor pools, celebrity chef Tom Collichio made his Miami restaurant debut there with “Beachcraft,” including outdoor dining options on Collins Avenue.
11. Faena Hotel Miami Beach
After much anticipation, the spectacular Faena hotel, which boasts stunning Art Deco style, and aims to recapture Miami’s golden age of glamour, opened to the public last fall. It’s part of the Faena Arts district, which features private residences, numerous artworks—such as Damien Hirst’s solid-gold wooly mammoth in a large glass vitrine, and Faena Art Center. Hotel owner Alan Faena and his wife Ximena Caminos have become fixtures on the Miami scene—especially during Art Basel in Miami Beach week—for everything from their lavish beachside asadas (traditional Argentine barbecues) where they feed hundreds of guests to a beachside roller skating party on an installation designed by collective assume vivid astro focus.

Located near Biscayne Bay in the financial district, the upscale hotel caters to business travelers It is notable for its minimalist design, and offers rooms with bay or city views.
13. Standard Miami Beach
The Standard’s signature funky style is in full effect at its Miami location. Located on Belle Isle, just to the west of South Beach, the hotel is set amid peaceful tropical gardens and boasts, breezy rooms with private terraces, many of which have outdoor soaking tubs. The Lido Restaurant is run by Chef Mark Zeitouni, and the hotel also has a juice café, fitness center, nail salon and Danish modern bar and lounge.
14. Morgans Hotel Group (Mondrian, Delano, and Shore Club)
We’ll be honest, the swank factor is high at these properties, and we love every bit of it—from the Delano’s massive white lobby curtains that waft in the Miami breeze on Collins Avenue to the Mondrian’s spectacular waterfront reception area where some of the most fabulous Art Basel in Miami Beach parties take place. The Shore Club sports a fresh, modern vibe and bills itself as a “luxurious playground for the jet set at a boutique oceanside resort hotel.” It was designed by British modernist David Chipperfield and the hotel lobby flows seamlessly from indoor to outdoor space.
